Built for days without coverage

Earth 91 keeps navigation and journaling useful when the network drops out. Core features work from local storage on your Android device.

  • Offline map packs

Victoria ships inside the app. Download other Australian state packs when you have coverage, or import your own PMTiles archive. Browse the active pack after an airplane-mode restart, with off-road tracks styled separately from sealed roads and OpenStreetMap attribution on the map.

  • Route recording

Start and stop GPS tracks yourself for 4WD days, bushwalks, and remote tracks. Recording can continue with the screen locked, using a clear foreground notification on Android. Replay saved routes on the map and export GPX or GeoJSON.

  • Place journal

Long-press the map to drop a pin for campsites, obstacles, or field notes. Add plain-text notes plus photo, video, and voice attachments stored in the app sandbox on your device until you export them.

Your field data stays yours

Tracks, places, and media are stored on-device by default. Optional map catalog downloads use Firebase only to fetch public pack metadata and map files. Earth 91 does not sell personal information. See the FAQ for common questions.
